WELCOME
The weekend of 20 - 22 January was a great success, with Clancy's and Samudra providing fantastic venues, and visiting filmmakers and surf legends adding that something special to the festival. Sunday night 22nd January was the much awaited Awards presentation and Tim Baker, Richard Todd and Festival Director Jesca Maas were stoked to be able to announce the winners, selected by the members of the judging panel.
And the winners are....
Best Feature - Finnsurf by director Aleksi Raij.
Best Short - The Surfer by Dominic Coleman
Best Cinematography - presented to two winners – El Mar, Mi Alma by Stephen Jones and Come Hell or High Water by Keith Malloy. Dave Homcy is the cinematographer for both films.
The People’s Choice Award - The Still Point by film maker Taki Bibelas.
