Nestled in the trees overlooking a spectacular coastline is the township Yallingup. Named after the local Aboriginal word for ‘place of love’ it’s not hard to see why people fall in love with the place.
Yallingup is famous for its world class surf breaks including Mainbreak, Smiths Beach, Injidup and Three Bears. A hop, skip and a jump away are the acclaimed wineries, breweries and food producers of the Margaret River Wine Region where visitors can indulge in the region’s gourmet delights.
Just up the road is the township of Dunsborough, offering boutique shopping, funky cafes, lively bars, as well as the convenience of major supermarkets, banks, post offices and pharmacies. The locals are a relaxed, friendly bunch and if you don’t catch them at the beach, you’ll be sure to see them at the ‘Sunday Session’ – a tradition over summer, live music, a drink and get together outdoors at the local pub.
